Location: Jämtlands län, Sweden
You cannot miss the iconic forests of Sweden. In the 450.000 square kilometres, Sweden covers, 50% is by forest. Apart from their 97.500 lakes, this makes it one of the most prominent – and most beautiful – traits of the country. Back in the summer of 2009 travelled approx. 1.000 kilometres up the country and on a hike up towards a ridge, I stumbled upon this spectacular view and had to capture it.

Custom framed editions in 1200 x 800 & 1500 x 1000 mm was made of this image where I had it printed on a piece of aluminium in a process called 'dye sublimation' which gives the image a fantastic contrast with very vivid colours while not being affected by the rays of the sun or moisture.
